Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) – Funding 2025/2026

GL Training – part of the Kallibr Group (RTO 32365) is a proud recipient of Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) funding for short courses. Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) is an independent, industry funded body supporting employers, workers and apprentices  in the building and construction industry.

The Short Courses program provides funding to assist with upskilling existing workers in the building and construction industry. The training focuses on the safety, regulatory and licensing requirements of the industry and can provide you with a range of competencies that employers need. And as the program name suggests, the Short Courses are designed to get you up-skilled fast.

For the 2025/2026 programme, which runs from 1st Oct 2025 to 30th Sep 2026, each eligible participant is able to access CSQ funded Short courses – Building and Civil 

 

To be eligible to access Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) programs, participants must be;

  • An Australian or New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident; or
  • A participant who has the right to work and study in Australia on a VISA and has been employed In the Building and Construction Industry for a period of six (6) months or more: and is
  • An Eligible Worker in Queensland: or is
  • An unemployed Eligible Worker who has been unemployed for a period not greater than six (6) months in Queensland

AND MUST NOT BE:

  • An Employee of an Authority
  • Currently enrolled and participating in a Queensland secondary school program
  • A contracted trainer or assessor or existing worker of an RTO
  • Funded by an Authority or such other source for delivery of the same training being undertaken as part of this program
  • Funded for more than eight (8) Short Courses under this program (either in Building Specific and/ or Civil Specific) in the same program period
  • A participant seeking Verification of Competency or have completed the same course already

Please note that only 8 units can be completed per year including 3 MPO units and 3 HRWL per person
