Traffic Control – Course for renewal of Traffic Controller accreditation (Queensland only).

Accreditation Frequency

Traffic Controllers are responsible to ensure that they maintain current accreditation to allow them to continue performing traffic controller duties.

Traffic Controllers must renew their Industry Authority Card every three (3) years and No traffic control duties should be undertaken if authority has expired.

Accreditation Renewal Requirements

To renew your Queensland traffic controller a person must:

Have held within the last 5 years, a driver’s licence other than a learner’s licence.

Successfully complete a Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Approved Traffic Controller Training Course and demonstrate currency of industry practice as a Traffic Controller.
